Scott Lorenz has been dazzling his northern Colorado clientele for nearly four decades. You know the minute you walk into a business or home he’s designed, that he has a talent for creating a warm and inviting environment. Scott owns and operates Max’ims Art Design & Boutique. He moved west last year from downtown Greeley to 2030 35th Ave. Unit B, on the north end of the Westlake Shopping Center (near Hunan’s and Hearne’s). Scott has spent 38 years as owner, designer, buyer, and director at Max’ims of Greeley and Max’ims Mountain Gallery in Estes Park. If you haven’t visited Max’ims new location…you need to stop by! Lorenz Specializes in Interior Design. He will discuss with us his philosophies of living better in your own life - with improving how you live in your own environment… Your Home; a resort every day! Your Office; where you spend most of your waking hours, is also a reflection of who you are and how you are perceived by others within your company and community. Color, placement of furniture and accessories and knowing it’s all about the light.

He’ll also touch on fashion, Dress Well… Feel Better!
Learn the power of clothing… It comes right back to you!
Would you like some tips – Scott’s keen eye can help you determine how to maximize
your assets.

Three key points you will gain from Scott’s presentation:
1. Thinking out of your personal box.
2. Teach yourself to see differently… seek the answers in nature.
3. Experience evolution in your life by just attending Scott’s talk

Scott explains that he designs by dialogue when working with customers. This means he asks hard questions to get to know the people who are living in the “space” so he can transform their environment to reflect their personality. It has… “more to do with color, function, lighting, placement, and composition of space”…when he works his magic. Scott has an amazing gift, he sees so much more than most of us. He will even go shopping with or for his clients, and with his eye and flair for color, he can find accessories that will accent pieces you already have to mix and blend bringing new life to an area.
He also, is a designer of custom picture framing. My Grandmother was an artists and she always taught us the importance of the frame, it is what truly finishes the work being displayed.
When visiting Scott at Max’ims Art Design & Boutique you’ll discover
- Original Paintings by mostly Colorado Artists.

- Handmade Pottery
- * Designer Women’s Clothing
- * Leather Goods all made in America.

Every time I visit with Scott I learn something new and have grown to appreciate his insight, wisdom and I know when he takes charge the end result will be amazing. I believe the customers who trust Scott and give him “freedom” enjoy glorious results. Come ‘experience” Scott Lorenz …you’ll find yourself looking at things and seeing so much more after his presentation! You’ll be able to open up your home or office space and make it more inviting.

Speaker: Vicki Conley, Promotion Director for The Customer Advantage (TCA) located in Windsor 970.686.6338 or tcarocks@yahoo.com

Topic: It's a Win~Win~Win! Come learn about a tool where consumers can save money and local merchants can have a risk-free, “controlled” advertising medium, while families, nonprofits and entrepreneurs receive a cost-free opportunity to earn passive residual income.

Register today for: Northern Colorado Women in Business’ monthly NetWORKing, Breakfast, Workshop, online at the www.NorCoWIB.com home page using Pay Pal or mail your $23 check to Kristi’s Kreations at: 4113 16th St. Rd., Greeley, CO 80634. Registration required by Sat., May 28th due to Memorial Day!

Here are some comments I have heard:
~Sometimes I feel so far behind when learning about online business opportunities, due to my lack of knowledge I’m afraid to jump in.
~I haven’t tapped into any web-based businesses because they are so new and there is no “face” attached, so it’s hard for me to trust that it will work.
~It’s such a new concept – it makes me nervous!
Have you heard about Groupon and Living Social?
Google offered to purchase Groupon for nearly $6,000,000,000 and was turned down!
And Amazon has invested big bucks in Living Social! They are SUCCESSFUL.
The Customer Advantage uses a similar business model. It’s a new style National Daily Deals program focusing on small to medium local businesses. This is a word of mouth, using Social Media and Phone Apps, effort that will greatly reward you for sharing it with friends, associates, customers - and it's all FREE.

Do you feel like:
I live in a cave, I've never heard of a Daily Deal!
What is it?
How can the TCA phenomenon help me, my business or my favorite non-profit?
Vicki will answer all of these questions and more.

At the end of the NorCoWIB June Workshop you will leave knowing:
1. How to save 50% or more with local participating businesses
2. It truly is free and there is no catch?
3. It's easy to partner with local businesses and non-profits to help bring our $$'s back to Main Street America and keep it working where it will help us most - locally.

Vicki has operated an ebay store for a long time. She is one of the early members of TCA and has devoted many hours to bringing this grassroots effort to our Northern Colorado Community. She is speaking to us to help women learn more - so you can decide if this is right for you and at what level you might choose to participate.

Have you ever caught yourself looking at another woman with admiration and tried to figure out why? Things that I admire are great posture, a sense of confidence, a terrific smile, and beautiful skin. As I get older, I am more convinced than ever that God has a sense of humor! Have you ever looked in the mirror and seen your Mother looking back at you!? Or seen a photo of yourself and had to do a double-take, because you didn’t recognize yourself?

I have no vanity whatsoever, never have. In my teen years I rarely got “mirror time” because my pretty boy brother monopolized it. He got the looks and I got the common sense and can-do, get ‘er done gumption! Well girls, I discovered the magic Dr. Jackie Bearden’s Restoration Medical Aesthetics, 5100 20th St., Greeley - has been providing women (and men) in our community nearly seven years ago. Beauty is important to each of us and I keep telling Dr. Bearden “my girlfriends/members” need to know more about your services.” This will be valuable for women of all ages. So here you go…

Join Northern Colorado Women in Business May 4th and Dr. Bearden will help you figure out:
~ Skin care confusion--what you need to know to make the most of what the good Lord gave you.
~ She’ll discuss an array of beauty problems and provide some solutions
~ You’ll discover the technologies out there that can make a real difference in boosting our self-confidence.

Here are just a few things I’ve heard from member/friends of NorCoWIB:
* What’s up with these old lady spots,
* how can I hide these dark circles under my eyes,
* chin whiskers aren’t something I thought I’d ever have to deal with,
* I don’t wear shorts because of the veins in my legs
* where did this double chin come from,
* I hide my hands because I don’t want people to see my age spots
* too much sun has left spots on my chest,
* what can I do about these stretch marks,
* I seem to spend more time plucking unwanted hairs every day – and I can’t keep up
* my acne really embarrasses me,
* pregnancy did a real number on my body,
* oh my gosh, I’m paying the price for too much sun in my youth,
* my daughter is going to suffer – just like I did!

Can you relate to any of the above? According to RMA’s Web Site, you will find Laser Hair Removal, Botox Restylane, Chemical Peels, Skin Care, Spider Veins, Acne Treatment, Massage, Facials, Botox, Juvederm, Restylane, Smart Lipo

Dr. Jackie Bearden is a native of Weld County. She is board certified in family medicine and has also completed extensive training in cosmetic procedures. Listening to her patient’s concerns drove her to continue her education to discover more ways to help solve not only health problems but also beauty concerns. She opened Restoration Medical Aesthetics seven years ago as a way to help more women. She is active with Spirit of Women. Jackie is the mother of four and has a daughter graduating later this month. She has also been blessed with four wonderful grandchildren and like many of us business owners, she is busy – but never too busy to care about other women!

Christine has been a personal life coach for over 11 years. She says she has worked with hundreds of everyday superheroes, helping them make the changes they want in their lives.

Hmmmm… this sounds very familiar to me.

As busy women we often yearn for more balance in our lives. But what is balance anyway? Is it even possible to have balance in our very rapidly moving and often imbalanced world? Long time life coach for everyday superheroes, Chris Thomas, offers some intriguing perspectives and tools to aid us on our quest for balance.

OK, I can only think of maybe three of you who possibly have this mastered and in practice – the rest of us NEED a dose of Chris!

Come and gain…

1. The understanding that balance is not a fixed destination but a moving target and learn some ways of knowing how to keep the target in our sights

2. A nifty tool for getting past “NO-phobia”

3. Practical ways of using the strengths we have as women to meet the challenges we have that can make balance seem so out of our reach

Christine Thomas has been a Greeley resident for over 30 years. Since 1999 she has been coaching people from around the world, mostly on the phone. She absolutely delights in getting to connect with people at the deep level of what is most important to them – their dreams. Chris loves this gorgeous land and is a long time gardener, herbalist trained in the WiseWoman tradition and dedicated volunteer at the Rocky Mountain Raptor Program.
